Artist note
Missing Piece explores the quiet shift that happens when something familiar is suddenly absent.
A structured grid represents routine and stability, while the missing form interrupts the pattern and leaves behind a visible gap. Through repetition, layered texture, and negative space, the piece reflects the tension between presence and absence—and how something once ordinary can become deeply noticeable when it is no longer there.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork created entirely by hand.
