Artist note
In Plain Sight — Out of Place is about the quiet feeling of being part of something while still feeling slightly different from everything around you.
A structured grid creates a sense of order, while subtle shifts in color, texture, and depth break the repetition. Those small differences become the character of the piece—a reminder that what feels out of place may be what makes the whole composition interesting.
Created with layered acrylic and raised texture in warm neutral tones, the surface changes gently as light moves across it.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork created entirely by hand.
